Present Continuous Tense in Hindi

Present Continuous Tense को Present Imperfect Tense भी कहा जाता है। इस Tense में किसी भी कार्य के वर्तमान में जारी रहने का बोध होता है अर्थात होने वाला कार्य वर्तमान में अपूर्ण रहता है।

पहचान – जिस हिंदी वाक्य की मूल क्रिया के अंत में रहा हूं / रहे हैं / रहे हो / रहा है / रही है, इत्यादि लगा रहे ऐसे वाक्य तो Present Continuous Tense के होते हैं।

Structure - Subject + is / am / are + Verb की ing Form + Other words

इस Tense में सबसे पहले Subject, उसके बाद Subejct के Person तथा Number के अनुसार Is/Am/Are का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
इसके पश्चात मुख्य क्रिया में ‘ing’ को जोड़कर Is/Am/Are के बाद रखा जाता है तथा अंत में अन्य पद जैसे Object आदि को रखा जाता है।
Is, Am, Are का प्रयोग : Third Person Singular Numberके Subject के साथ Is, First Person Singular Number के Subject के साथ Am तथा We, You, They, या अन्य किसी Plural Number के Subject के साथ Are का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Person	Singular	Plural
First Person	मैं रोटी खा रहा हूं। I am eating bread.	हम लोग रोटी खा रहे हैं। We are eating bread.
Second Person	तुम रोटी खा रहे हो। You are eating bread.	तुम लोग रोटी खा रहे हो। You are eating bread.
Third Person	वह / यह / मोहन रोटी खा रहा है। He / She / It / Mohan is eating bread.	वे लोग / लड़के रोटी खा रहे हैं। They / The boys are eating bread.

(a) Present Continuous Tense Affirmative Sentence in Hindi

Structure :- Sub + is / am / are + V1  + ing + object.

Present Continuous Tense Affirmative Sentence Example

मैं मैदान में टहल रहा हूं।	I am walking in the field.
पिंकी सोमवार को इलाहाबाद जा रही है।	Pinky is going to Allahabad on Monday.
अजय आज घर आ रहा है।	Ajay is coming home today.
खुशी जोर-जोर से हंस रही है।	Khushi is laughing loudly.
दीपक और राहुल कल आ रहे हैं।	Deepak and Rahul coming tomorrow.
उसकी गाय दूध दे रही है।	His cow is giving milk.
हमारी गाय घास खा रही हैं।	Our cow is eating grass.
सचिन खाना खा रहा है।	Sachin is eating food.
दीपक घूमने जा रहा है।	Deepak is going to roam.
आसमान तेजी से नीला हो रहा है।	The sky is getting increasingly cloudy.

(b) Present Continuous Tense Negative Sentence in Hindi

Present Continuous Tense के Negative Sentence बनाने के लिए Is/Am/Are के बाद not जोड़ दिया जाता है.

Structure :- Sub + is / am / are + not + V₁  + ing + object.

Present Continuous Tense Negative Sentence Example

मैं मैदान में नहीं टहल रहा हूं।	I am not walking in the field.
पिंकी सोमवार को इलाहाबाद नहीं जा रही है।	Pinky is not going to Allahabad on Monday.
अजय आज घर नहीं आ रहा है।	Ajay is not coming home today.
खुशी जोर-जोर से नहीं हंस रही है।	Khushi is not laughing loudly.
दीपक और राहुल कल नहीं आ रहे हैं।	Deepak and Rahul are not coming tomorrow.
उसकी गाय दूध नहीं दे रही है।	His cow is not giving milk.
हमारी गाय घास नहीं खा रही हैं।	Our cow is not eating grass.
सचिन खाना नहीं खा रहा है।	Sachin is not eating food.
दीपक घूमने नहीं जा रहा है।	Deepak is not going to roam.
आसमान तेजी से नीला नहीं हो रहा है।	The sky is not getting increasingly cloudy.

(c) Present Continuous Tense Interrogative Sentence in Hindi

Present Continuous Tense के Interrogative Sentence बनाने के लिए Subject पहले Is/Am/Are लगा दिया जाता है.

जब प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाक्य के शुरुआत में हो तो

 Structure :- Is / Am / Are + Subject + V1 + Ing + object.. 

 or

 जब प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाक्य के बीच में हो तो

Interrogative word (Why, What, How etc) + Is / Am / Are +Subject + V1 + Ing + Object

Present Continuous Tense Interrogative Sentence Example

क्या मैं झूठ बोल रहा हूं?	Am I telling a lie?
क्या वर्षा हो रही है?	Is it raining?
क्या सत्यजीत कल आ रहा है?	Is Satyajit coming tomorrow?
क्या आप लोग उसकी मदद कर रहे हैं?	Are you helping them?
क्या वह पढ़ा रही हैं?	Is she reading?
वह क्यों पढ़ा रही है?	Why is she reading?
वर्षा क्यों हो रही है?	Why is it raining?
सत्यजीत कल क्यो आ रहा है?	Why is Satyjit coming tomorrow?
अगले सप्ताह तुम दिल्ली क्यों जा रहे हो?	Why are you going to Delhi next week?
तुम वहां कल क्यों जा रहे हो?	Why are you going there tomorrow?

(d) Present Continuous Tense Negative Interrogative Sentence in Hindi

Present Continuous Tense के Negative Interrogative Sentence बनाने के लिए Subject पहले Is/Am/Are लगा दिया जाता है.

जब प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाक्य के शुरुआत में हो तो Structure :- Is / Am / Are + Subject + Not + V1 + Ing + object.. 

or 

जब प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाक्य के बीच में हो तो Interrogative word (Why, What, How etc) + Is / Am / Are +Subject + Not + V1 + Ing + Object
