What is the NCERT?

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organization set up by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programs for qualitative improvement in school education.

The NCERT provides support and resources for setting up model schools, teacher training, curriculum development, and research.
